Biography

Dr. Robert LaCava received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Massachusetts and his M.D. at Northwestern University Medical School. LaCava also studied at the Jefferson University Center for Educational Diplomacy in Homeopathy. Dr. LaCava has over 40 years of professional experience since graduation from Northwestern University. This has only increased his passion for partnering with people to achieve their ideal health. Dr. LaCava views his work as a calling and the priority of his practice as caring. Dr. LaCava started his career practicing traditional medicine, but found traditional approaches alone repeatedly fell short of helping patients achieve optimum health. He grew tired of managing chronic symptoms with therapies and not experiencing success. Convinced of the values of alternative treatments, he founded The LaCava Center for Integrative Medicine well over 10 years ago. Dr. LaCava has a number of certifications, such as: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He is also a board certified OB/GYN, a licensed homeopath, and board eligible in environmental medicine. LaCava is a member of the International Organization of Integrative Cancer Physicians, a Northwestern Medical School Advisory Board Memeber, a member of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine, and a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
